Come All Ye Bold New Englanders--

We welcome you to join us for a wild ride through Celtic seasonal music and lore.

DETAILS: 7:30 PM, The Winter Street Center, Winter & Washington St.,
Bath, Maine. Admission is $12 adults / $5 children FMI call 207-529-5438 or email castlebay@castlebay.net

Here's the official blurbage from folk duo Castlebay, with whom The Piper and I will be performing: "This special concert will feature both traditional and contemporary songs in celebration of Samhain, known to most people as Halloween. The mythology, music and arts of the ancient Celtic people reflects their belief in cycles and that a cycle began in darkness. The day started at dusk and the New Year, or Samhain (pronounced sah-when), occurred at the end of October when the seed falls to the earth for a time of incubation. Samhain is a time for both endings and beginnings; honoring the memory of things past and preparing for Spring's rebirth. More than just a celebration of gathering the fruits of our physical labor, it was believed that we should show appreciation for our ancestors and reap the harvest of their wisdom and experience."

So, for an evening of eerie tunes, spooky Old Songs and enchanting seasonal lore, come join us this Sunday night!
