NORA JANE STRUTHERS at THE BORDERLINE

Saturday, November 12, 08:00 pm
Steve Shapiro's Living Room, 7 Trailside Ct, New City, NY, $20

Hi Friends,

It is hard to believe that 7 long years have already passed since that first concert that launched The Borderline in November of 2005. At that time we never even dreamed that this would grow into the one of the premier venues in the world of folk & bluegrass music. We will be celebrating our 7th anniversary with a gala concert on Saturday night, November 12th at 8 PM.

Our featured performer will be the young and talented NORA JANE STRUTHERS direct from Nashville. She is the hottest singer-songwriter on the circuit today and has the unique gift of being able to write original songs within a framework of traditional old timey folk & bluegrass. Besides having a sweet & melodious voice, Nora Jane is also a superb guitar player. She has won prestigious competition awards for songwriting at both, the Clifftop Festival in West Virginia as well as the Telluride Festival in Colorado. Nora Jane is also the lead vocalist for the band Bearfoot that has been selling out venues all over the country.

We are indeed fortunate to have a performer of this caliber perform at The Borderline for our 7th anniversary show.   On a personal note, Fay and I will be celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary that night and we would like as many of our friends as possible to share the festivities with us.   The venue is the place where it all started, Steve Shapiro's living room located at 7 - Trailside Court, New City, NY 10957. This is our only Saturday night show of the year because the Sabbath ends early at 5:30 PM due to the switch over to Eastern Standard Time. Therefore we should have no problem at all beginning the show at 8 PM, even if you are driving from long distance. But remember that our Saturday night shows always sell out to capacity and since we have limit seating, early reservations are highly recommended.

Admission is $20 per person but only $15 if you are a Borderline member. We also ask that you bring a cold pot luck dessert dish to share with 4 other people. Please remember that we are an "alcohol free" venue.   For reservations and information you can e-mail me at solz1@optonline.net or call me at (845) 354-4586.

See You all on November 12th
