In the 1960s the Pennine Folk sang this on a radio programme from Manchester. The chorus is:
The Ballad of the Gypsy Moth
Hey ho, roll and go,
Round the Horn in the months of snow,
How many times can a man defy
The raging seas and the rolling sky?
For years I have searched high and low for this song, but to no avail.
On another tack - does the Pennine Folk still perform. I saw one of their lps on eBay and it was over £50.
