Bonzo - your grasp of logic seems very tenuous.

No vegetarian restaurant that I know of has any meat dishes on its menu - that's why such restaurants are vegetarian. Got that? Good.

If a vegetarian restaurant in Croydon closed down, there may have been many reasons - and there being no call for such a restaurant in that particular area at that particular time may well have been one of them. To say it closed because it didn't serve meat is very silly.

As for a vegetarian kitchen being accused of discrimination because it doesn't serve "at least one meat dish" is also very silly. If the venue advertises itself as having a vegetarian menu, then any prospective punters will know that. The point is - and I speak as a meat and fish eater - that good vegetarian food can be as delicious and tasty as non-vegetarian; all depends on the quality of the ingredients and the ability of the chef. If you don't like such food then that's your problem.

Is it discriminatory in a Chinese restaurant if they don't serve "at least one Italian meal"? Of course not.

Anyway - back to the thread topic. Hurray for Zoox! Linda, their violin player, happens to be my violin teacher - and a wonderful musician and teacher she is. Don't miss them - wherever they are!
