Yeah, yeah, that's wonderful, Peter, but on to the important stuff--have you tried holding down the ">" button on your CD player to see if it will scroll into the middle of a track?

(From a previous post: Peter, this may not apply to yours, but on some units if you press the ">" button momentarily, it will skip to the beginning of the next track, but if you hold that button down, it will scroll through the current track at high speed.)
