There's a pic of Máire on THIS PAGE - together with a reminder to me as to why I always assumed it was "a Muskerry hare" with the placename pronounced as in Irish i.e. Muscaire. Phonetically, that would come out as roughly mus-kir-eh with only first syllable stressed and the eh weak.
