Ah, there are plenty of snap traps, and poisonous baits, out here in the sticks. Just not the humane sort. So where are the London people releasing their captives? Out here there are plenty of places not close to homes or farmyards.
If London fails, I'll get one off the internet.
Had a good walk today, and then an hour clearing things in the garden, and bringing the last potatoes in. Don't want to have enything out there that might attract the thing. A robin came and rummaged around where I had scraped out the gaps in the patio slabs, and tipped out the potato compost.I put it some insect rich fatty food on the bird feeder - but nothing on the ground, of course. The woodmouse appeared, too. I've noticed them around together before, and I wondered if the little trill the robin was giving was alerting it.
Weight has been stable for several days now. Irritating.
