Yup.... my parents made a shitload back then with RRSPs. Today, and shortly thereafter RRSPs are/were a waste. I never bought in because I knew I would take a tax bath in my retirement. Glad I held off.

Well, I did buy some. I was gonna start a business so I bought in and then took out $4999 at a time... no tax up front. But, I never bought any for retirement. Just for cash flow.
