My upcoming handbell solo is a medely of "W Zlobie Lezy" ("Infant Lowly, Infant Holy") and the 'Flow...Afton' version of "Away in a Manger". I've been looking for just that type of tidbit to help the concert's MC entertain during the time it'll take me to reaarrange the bells from the previous ringer(s). Handbell choirs typically lay out all but the bass bells in keyboard order, but soloists and smaller ensembles lay all of them out in whatever way serves the music best, often meaning whatever allows the most difficult passages to be played smoothly without messing up the easier parts too much. If only I that would work with guitar strings frets...
