Bobster, is there no specialised, experienced, forward-looking US music industry lawyer who would read and negotiate a contract pro bono or for points? The US patterns are different from the UK and there is a shitstorm coming in collecting societies and the divisions between performers rights and composers' rights particularly in relation to online and digital re-uses (including sampling).

Incidentally, I'm WAY out of date on the US law on this aspect but did you even consent to the NPR recording?
