Genie, I agree with you about the connotation. We wouldn't actually say it in real life either, we'd probably say what you mention "C'est bon, tu as gagné, c'est comme tu veux". Btw we wouldn't say "ainsi soit-il" (let it be) either, which was -is?- said at the end of prayers before saying amen, but we could write "qu'il en soit ainsi" (let it be -thus-).
