Thanks for all the responses.....that's scary. I don't smoke, but I did force my voice into a higher tenor than it is 'sposed to be in.

These days I try to sing more in my natural range and practice better technique. This is even better incentive though!

I can't sing as high as I could in the past, although I sing better in a lower range now.

Guess I'll be *real* careful from now on....
