Claire (((hugs))) .... sometimes the universe just smacks us and takes charge whether we are ready or not.

The last few days I've been helping a friend from work who is loosing her home do to damage from Irene. There is no FEMA money for mold and mildew remediation from this storm and her crawl space and first floor aren't salvageable. Loosing her garden was as hard as the house so we have been digging up plants and moving them into my yard. We filled the van on Saturday and I have gotten that load of plants all settled into to the yard as of today. I've cleared the driveway herb beds and the firepit area is cleared and replanted. The muscles are complaining after days of digging, but it is definitely looking good.
I have mixed feelings.... she is so thankful, and I feel selfish ...
