Where are you from? Depending on the kinds of things you have where you are there are different things that will interest you in Chicago.

Depending on when you move from town to town... next Sunday (Nov. 20th) there is the monthly chantey sing in the back room of The Atlantic Bar & Grill from 3pm to 6pm at 5062 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60625. You can get there via the #11 Lincoln Avenue bus.

There are always interesting concerts going on at the Old Town School of Folk Music: http://www.oldtownschool.org

If you like opera, the opera season at the Lyric has just started, it is often possible to get very good last minute seats when people who can't go turn them in: http://www.lyricopera.org/

There are all kinds of concert listings in the Reader:

As for things to see, I recommend the Field Museum of Natural History and the Art Institute. It's probably getting too cold, and the water too rough for a boat ride on the lake, but go *see* the lake at least. (There's a great viewing spot near the Field Museum and the Planetarium.)
