I think that's right, Winona isn't much of a singer. She did sing a little in "Girl, Interrupted", but she was either deliberately singing to sound like an amateur of little ability...or she is naturally that way.

However, she can certainly act well. She and Angelina Jolie both acted their parts very well in that movie.
