This evening the UPS guy delivered the 26" Vizio that I'd ordered (from NewEgg: reconditioned, $100 less than the lowest retail I could find) and it is PERFECT! I moved the holder on the wall over 16" to the next stud (it needs the wood to support it, no drywall is going to hold up 13 or so pounds). This is large enough to glance at from the kitchen counter or from the dining area table.

On that counter this evening I breaded and cooked 2 large chicken breasts (cut into strips) and an eggplant that had grown below my frozen garden (under the frost damage). I made two Pyrex pans of chicken and eggplant Parmesan (foil lined dishes, so they will slip out after freezing and go into plastic bags, until time to bake them in the original Pyrex pans). They'll be perfect later this winter. I also had some of it for dinner tonight, so this effort contributed to at least three dinners. :)

The 19" LED television that was in the kitchen will go in the bedroom, where on a night stand it is plenty big enough. There are still two CRT televisions in the house, but for now they'll stay put.

The Government reports of sales figures for last month were reported today, and they said that the purchase of various appliances and small electronics was up 001.5%. Last month I spent $10 on a radio for the greenhouse. Who knew that one purchase would affect government reports, eh? I wonder what we'll hear about November? Here I am fueling growth in the economy all by myself. The cash for the TV came from the garage sale. It's a wash, but the feds don't need to know that. I have several things on eBay now that will go to my xmas spending. That's probably part of the underground economy. :-)
