I think one advantage I have, over those who live dogmatically UNDER a party line, is that I DON'T have a need to falsely rationalize, 'spin' to make it fall within the parameters of a preconceived notion, that 'my party' is 'better' than 'your party'...and don't give us that crap that you are 'independent'!
