I ain't about to be mortified about white sox. A few years back I came accross some printed article claiming that synthetic fabric socks were healthier than cotton sox, especially for sweaty feet. I was in dress shirt and tie work at the time too, so I basically had a pile of black synthetic socks. At least 5 years ago now, my foot and shoe odor got to where it must have at least approached Spaw's
gas odor problem. I wear white cotton sox now except for maybe weddings and funerals, and have little or no odor problem. I'd rather have people snickering than backing away and gagging.
