In all innocense, I labelled my 'hex' colour files with their pixel size, and the hex details. I endeded up with files, with names such as '1x1#0099cc'Whilst this might not sound obvious to most, it seemed to me a reasonable way of naming a 1x1 pixel graphic with hex colours of 00 99 cc.
I was wrong! For some obsure reason, putting the hash (#) into my file name renders it unreadable on a UNIX server.
I understood that UNIX was 'case sensitive' but this is stupid, and took me ages to figure out.
Are there any other things that UNIX gets really picky with?
