Four days after they appeared at our folk club in Lewes, I have still got the lovely singing and playing of this wonderful Breton duo running through my head. It was an exquisite evening of entertainment.

Brigitte Kloareg sang traditional songs, laments and ballads in Breton, French, Welsh and English and has masses of projection and a really memorable voice.

Yann-Fañch Perroches plays the diatonic accordeon in a masterly way and was a founder member of the band that I regard as being far and away the best to come out of Brittany - Skolvan.

These two also play together in a band called Diamik.

Thanks to the lovely people at Dansez Français in Brighton who suggested that we might like to have them on the Thursday before this weekend when they have been doing workshops and a Fest Noz for them.

I hope that they will be coming back to the UK and that I can arrange some folk club appearances for them. They really are an ideal folk club act.
