Not so! The silent treatment is extremely effective in my opinion, because even though you can't hear anything, the negative vibes coming your way could kill a goldfish at 30 paces, cause birds to fall out of the sky, and will cause considerable discomfort to your nervous system...unless you have a nervous system as primitive as that of a potato or an eggplant. In that case the effect may be quite minimal...and she'll probably resort to something more drastic, like putting poison in your drink or locking you out of the house and throwing all your clothes and other personal items out of the 2nd story windows.
