I just learn 'em from the recordings, by careful listening and re-listening, and working it out. I don't try to do a slavish, absolutely perfect copy of what I hear, I use the recording as a basis for my own adaptation, which takes into account my own abilities and limitations - sometimes I'm very close, other times different. I'm a believer in the adage "Go your own way".

Tablature and standard Musical Notation make no sense to me whatsoever.
