Muriel Roberts had an excellent jazz trio date for Dot Records, Dot 3173, Flower Drum Song. She plays with technical prowess and jazz feeling, and on the record she stretches out on long improvisions.   (Four tracks on each side, all from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Flower Drum Song.) Her acompaniment is Ernest Furtado on bass and William Clark on drums.   My best guess is that it's from 1959 or so, although I don't have access to a discography that mentions the session.

I don't know a blessed other thing about her, but her one record gives her a measure of immortality and gives anyone who hears it the spiritual uplift of the best jazz.
