It's been a good series, though I've not caught them all.

I think that previous posters are unfair on the cooking as I think his aim was to highlight simple regional foods/dishes from ingredients that would have been available to and affordable by ordinary people. Nothing wrong with that, IMHO and my wife made something very similar to the dish he cooked up for the Unthanks. The difference was she didn't top it with cheese but layered some bacon in instead and it was delicious.

Also as has been said earlier he has been highlighting traditional music and dancing and has taken it seriously and given the people a chance to say something about what they do and its origins.

Last in the series tonight and he was in Kent - with a Morris side at the end.
