IMPORTANT PAYPAL PAYMENT INFO!!!!

After selecting "Send Money", be sure to select the "Personal" tab and not the "Purchase" tab. All purchases incur fees.



Paypal deducted $0.62 from Art's payment of 11.00 as a fee. Apparently the fees may be a bit higher for overseas payments. Can some one more knowledgable help out a bit here if I haven't figured this out correctly?

Under certain circumstances, personal transaction fees can be avoided.



1. There is no fee if the payment is made from a paypal balance or bank account.

2. There is a fee if the payment is made from a credit card or debit card. The sender decides whether they or I pay the fee, but I don't know how you make that selection. Just be sure you do select for you to pay the fee.

The fee is higher for crossborder transactions and currency converstion. Fee information is available on the paypal website. For domestic transactions the fee is 2.9%+0.30USD. There is a chart to figure the fee for foreign currencies

I don't mind covering the difference for a few transactions that are bound to get through, but if lots of people pay through my account that amount will add up.
