Just discovered by coincidence an interesting article in our local Parish Magazine (Hampshire UK) It seems that Roy Rogers and his wife (Gail Evans)) spent some time in our village as guests of a local dignitary, Sir Harold Gillies and opened the 9 Hole pitch & put golf course (No longer exists). One of the current older residents of the village had a ride on Trigger who accompanied Roy.
