Awww, dang! Is the Cain soap opera really done? What are we gonna do for laughs now? Who can we find to fill those shoes?

A thought here, though...

"God has forgiven me, why can't you?" is actually a completely viable point of view in a spiritual sense...if you really mean it...but it WON'T get you anywhere in politics, because the average public out there is about as forgiving as the Gestapo when it comes right down to it! ;-) They long to accuse and destroy those whom they dislike upon any handy excuse. They hold grudges. They seek revenge. They want to get even. Ask them to forgive you, and they will leap on you like a pack of hungry wolves. And they will feel quite justified in doing so too.

It's not such a nice scene out there, specially in the field of politics. That's why it's not a profession I would ever dream of entering. Anyone who does had better understand what they're getting themselves into, and they'd better have a skin like a rhinoceros.
