A Canadian radio talk show caller asked today how Canada could be building schools in Afganistan, while not going "all out" to ensure the basic needs of life, such as clean running water, are not provided in it own country, to many Aboriginal communities. And, to make matters worse,these conditions have been known to exist for very many years.

If pet animals were exposed to such conditions, there would be a loud call for action, and donations rolling in.
