Sorry I missed this thread.

THE EAST OHIO MINERS' STRIKE

O, comrades and fellow workers,
Listen to what I have to say.
The East Ohio miners,
They're standin' on the picket line today.

They're fighting starvation wage cuts,
Listen to what the operators done:
They cut the poor miner's wages down
To twenty-three cents a ton.

Then the miners told them
Just what they aimed to do.
We'll fight starvation wage cuts
By joining the N. M. U.

The N. M. U. is a miner's union,
They're fighting hand in hand,
Against starvation wage cuts,
Bread and freedom is our demand.

O these operators wives,
They wear their gold diamond rings.
The miners' wives and children,
They wear just any old thing.

Yes, we wear just any old thing.
While the miners are striking,
They're struggling hand in hand.
It is our duty, fellow workers,
To help them all we can.

Their children are all hungry,
And O, how sad I feel,
Will you help us, fellow workers,
And view our loud appeal?
