Dorothy, get a shade that is the right size and put new fabric over it. Nate Berkus does that all of the time on his program.

I've been reading this morning, but I have to go take care of several things on my list. I did find sheets for a duvet on clearance, and I found a piece of chenille that will work on the robe. The corduroy I found was strange - there is barely a "cord" to it any more. My local fabric store (JoAnn) had moved and in the process changed the amount of various things they carry (less fabric). The people who were cutting fabric quite conspicuously don't sew, don't have functional knowledge about fabrics. Perhaps it's just extra help during the holiday season.
