Never heard it called an easel either.

I use a K&M too - I think it's this one: K&M 10062 Robby. It has an extra wide fold-out desk. It holds 5 pages easily, 6 at a pinch; it saves me page turns when I'm learning a piece (classical guitar). The trouble now of course is that my eyesight isn't good enough to see to the edges!
