That "misleading footage" stuff is really daft. What kind of nut would have thought that shots of newborn polar bears could have been shot out in the wild anyway? And the BBC website about the programme expklained all about it in before the programmes were even shown.

I'm astonished at how the idea that being hostile to warning about climate change can ever have come to be adopted as a "conservative" touchstone in the USA. The basic, and valid principle at the heart of any genuine conservative position has to be suspicion of change, and a general instinct to take the pessimistic position about things they aren't certain about. In a decent society we could all be happy conservatives, because there wouldn't be that mountain of things that badly need to change.

So how people who claim to be "conservative" can be all for crossing their fingers and heading full speed toweards the edge of a cliff beats me.
