The notion of accepting the lambskin dates back centuries and has two meanings. One, used here by our estimable and deservedly proud mother Stilly, is to willingly receive a diploma, of the kind that was once printed on lambskin before parchment was used, before the days of 8 1/2/x11 copier paper.

The other has no place in decent conversation, and refers to a method of birth control.
