Leif returned from one of his long voyages, and it was voting day, so he went to the town hall to vote.
The clerk looked at the register and couldn't find his name, so he was told he couldn't vote.
He went home and told his very assertive wife what happened. She got quite huffy and went to the town clerk to ask why her famous husband was not allowed to vote. The clerk went through her voter registry again, and suddenly she drew in her breath and said, "It's my fault, I must have taken Lief off my census.
