Kirchner seems to have many merits. She is a notable advocate for human rights, poverty awareness and health improvement - the exact opposite of Thatcher.

I am however concerned at the current efforts by latin-american countries, led by Argentina, to mount a partial blockade of the Falklands. In that context let me say that Thatcher, while saving the Falklands from annexation, pretty well talked it up into an undeclared war (apparently to seek electoral advantage) and that the sinking of the Belgrano while it was outside the "exclusion zone", sailing away from the Falklands and while we were not at war, looks a lot more like murder than propriety.
