SRS, thank you for your kind and caring thoughts and suggestions. Having Morgan over yesterday helped quite a bit, but doing anything with my hands at the moment is a bit too painful, especially after making four pumpkin pies, yesterday. He and his mom are making cookies today, but I've managed not to gain anything, so far, so any nibbling on them will be minimal.:-)

Having Roger at home yesterday helped also. This morning hasn't been as bad as recent days. I have two frozen pies wrapped up and boxed, sitting outside on the front porch waiting for Roger to come home at noon and send them overnight to our son. It's only about 13° outside, so I hope they'll stay frozen long enough to get to him safely. My pumpkin pies are a favourite among our family.

We haven't done much decorating, either. Morgan hung a few Christmasy things here and there. I may get some lights up on the Norfolk Island pine today, but not too concerned about it. I did get some birdseed out this morning; poor things, we had snow and now really, really cold weather (for here), so I feel badly for them and like to keep them fed.

Something really neat happened for my daughter and grandsons back east today, but I'm going to note it in a different thread, either a new one or the wonderful news one.

I guess I don't do cold weather any more. The windchill this morning was zero and our car radiator still needs to be flushed out, so I rescheduled my hand therapy appointment. I really don't want to be outside in this weather at all and can do some hand stuff at home anyway.

I think we should all go as easy on ourselves as possible. Take good care of yourselves and enjoy whatever it is you do over the holidays. As usual, thanks for being here and for listening.
