I read a proverb/adage years ago that has stayed with me - I was complaining about my sore feet, when I met the man with no legs.

Decades back I knew a quadraplegic woman who had some use in her right hand. Over a year she finished her jumper, letting go of her needle at every stitch to wrap the wool around it.
