Christmas was wonderful here!

We did not open gifts at our house yesterday, not even a stocking. Instead, we lounged around and enjoyed being home together without rushing about! We did exchange gifts at my Mom's house and of course she had presents for the baby. To be honest, he wasn't really all that interested. We didn't really push the issue. I sat on the floor with him and tried to entice him to open one gift which he eventually did. He found 12 Little People trucks inside the wrapping...his eyes lit up, the smile was amazing and he said, "WOW!!!!" Daddy helped him get the new trucks out of the box and he happily played for hours. He opened a few more things but since he was focused on the new trucks, we left it at that. There are several other gifts to be opened and we requested that mom enjoy that with him during the next few visits. It IS a lot for a small child to take in on one day. In fact, he has not opened any gifts from us just yet. We are going to stretch it out and enjoy it as it happens. :) A little unconventional but it's what works for us this year. :)

Pete and I exchanged our gifts to each other this morning. Jeremiah thought it was great fun to help unwrap today which was part of the fun. :)

I sent out the last of the Christmas cards today....it was a photo card of Jeremiah (I know you are ALL SO SURPRISED..LOL). We used to send cards to just about everyone in Tioga County. This year we sent them to the people we know well and love.

Also, I took Jeremiah to church on Christmas Eve. Now THAT was overwhelming for him. He liked the music but the rest of the time he was antsy which I kind of expected. He was chatty throughout the service (we stayed for about half of it) and sang along when there was music. Overall, I'd say it was a success and I'm glad I took him.

Today is another relaxing day and I am enjoying my family time immensely! :)
