Subject: Tech: Colour laser printers drums/cartridges
I'm thinking of investing in a colour laser printer in the new year. So far, the Brother MFC 9320CW Multifunction Printer looks good. Some good reviews and it can be used (by Macs) over a wi-fi network, which I need.

Prices for cartridges are not low, but you get lots of sheets for the money. However... I notice that print drums are included in the consumables, as well as ink cartridges. Is the print drum something which the cartridge sits in, and which will have to be replaced at some time? I see that drums are supposed to last for around 15,000 pages each, so I'm assuming that both drums and ink cartridges are an ongoing expense for these printers?

(I'll still keep my inkjet for CD/DVD labels but, to be honest, that's its only use.)
