I grew up in the 50's in the same commuity as Fisher Boyce. He led the singing many times in the Old Leb Methodist Church that I attended. He belonged to a Presbyterian Church in the community, but his brother was a member of the church I attended. He was always present at the 'homecoming celebrations' when we had lunch at noon and sang all afternoon. He had a beautiful voice and everyone looked forward to hearing him sing. We always understood that he wrote "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem", but I do no know the facts of how other artist became involved.
