A number of people described as Metis were with Lewis and Clark..some were fiddlers. I think the definition of Metis varies, with strict definitions being of French Canadian with specific Indian Nations...and others being less specific...very famous fiddlers among them...and I keep saying there were more here in PNW than are given credit...mg
