I'm not sure of its origins or if it would fit in a Chaucerian setting, but the Kingston Trio did a fun tune called (I think) "I'm Goin' Back." The gist of it was a country boy who goes to town and meets a lady of the night who promises a good time, only to take off with his money and not keep their "date." It would take a little modification of time and place, but hey — that's the folk process.cheers,
