The Worth1000 site has a well known reputation for its "contest" postings, with one of the best known being the "Scary Signs" series from a few years back, with a half-dozen separate contest series in that category (probably still) on the site. The proliferation of separate contests/series on the site has made it lots harder to find the one picture you want, but it's still a real fun place for wasting some time.
