There's no getting above the political fray, these days, without appearing to be rather mindless. Expressing an opinion lucidly, with citations as needed, does seem to be a lost art, but it would be wonderful if more people tried it.

GfS, from what I see, you do a lot of stirring up and annoying people. As a contrarian. That isn't a particularly attractive position to take. We'll have to see what your demeanor is here, perhaps that opinion will be revised. And I'll say it again, if you don't start a thread about the musician you think doesn't get enough attention, that's the end of it, because there are only about seven of us who regularly read this thread and it won't go any further once we get a page or two out (on the 50 message per page screen).
