As a cancer researcher in scotland I can tell you that the vast majority of funding comes not from the governemtn but from people popping £1 here and there into jars and baking cakes and click on ribbons. It really all does count to the tune of ~£65 million pa for the Cancer Research Campaign. So how about a sponsored 24 session to keep all cancer vigilant mudcatters happy.
