Yes, the cavity is box-shaped and a liner of this stuff is pretty much the plan. Need to leave the front open but already planned to curtain it off as well.

Another kewl thing today, in combat of the Little Grey Gnats of SAD trying to get me-- and man they are really swarming today. The closet cleanout (it's my SuperCloset that I've posted about before) included a shopping bag full of scraps.

These had been held/stored the requisite time since some clothing was re-purposed (dresses became skirts). I did use quite a few of the scraps in some small projects, and was glad to have them handy... but now it's time for that nasty bag to go and I am not a quilter!

A few of the bodices (about 8) are pretty enough to wear as liners under sweaters to keep cotton next to the skin and to cover that throat area that radiates so much heat in the winter. I need 2 new sweaters-- now I realize they can be V-necks!!!

I tossed a few yesterday but when I tackled the larger bag this AM, that seemed not quite right somehow..... The rest of the bag (scrappier bodices, sleeves, other parts) is going to FreeCycle (they're out on the porch NOW), where someone will enjoy a winter quilting and/or dollclothes project, and I get to keep a visual reminder of some old favorites that wore out and were discarded as skirts or blouses long ago. (The space cleared will hold some other stuff I DO need to keep, organized in those nice re-usable shopping bags that hold their shape.)

I even had hangers on hand-- to hang up the bodices I saved, where they will look pretty on a bare wall. But the neatest thing is the pair of motion-detector LED lights we found ElCheapo to light that black hole of a closet.

Next is putting back in the things that STAY, with lights ON!!!
