Believers in liberty have prized the The Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C. § 1385) of June 18, 1878, right behind the U. S. Constitution.

The act spelled out many of our freedoms and banned the use of the U. S. military against the U. S. people.

I was listening to brilliant lawyer last night who said that Posse Comitatus is dead. It was just a piece of legislation, not a part of the Constitution, and that it was replaced by provisions of the National Defence Authorization Act.

Any word of this on the evening news?
