Freezing rain all day yesterday so stayed in city. Went to country early this am, in time to start the wood fire which warmed cabin quickly. Neighbour came over and determined best place for the - whatever it is that facilitates internet service. He will sell me the one he no longer uses (Bell) and I only need to get a monthly account. He suggested a blue tooth to use with cell phone; phone can be by window where it gets a signal and I can talk on Bluetooth.I'm still figuring that out. I have a Bluetooth around here somewhere that I can try.

Considering canceling land line in city and putting that money toward increased cell minutes.

Weather seemed to be OK so I started south to New York State to visit rehab friend. It stopped raining and was OK. Then the challenge of unmarked roads! It took almost an extra hour as I had to stop at houses to find first one road and then another. Municipal roads depts will be hearing from me! However, that gave Amy time to do her afternoon cleanup of the animal pens. She was just finishing when I arrived so I got to say hello to some of her 18 raccoons which will be released in the spring - yearlings. All those incredibly beautiful little faces and hands! We talked for hours, while it snowed a couple inches! Trip back to the city was slow. It was a good day.
