John King comments: More Form 696 coverage. The Met do NOT have reliable statistics justifying their claim that Form 696 has reduced shootings. In fact, they do not have any evidence at all. The only stats they have produced (which they did to the London Mayor) were derived from some highly dubious DCMS licensing statistics regarding LIVE and not RECORDED music. Pretty inept stuff...
