If you are drawn to Grisham thrillers and the like this may not be up your tree.
That said, I found Kat's book beautifully written with thoughtfully drawn characters and insights for both children and adults. I would hate to see this pawned off as a coming of age pre-teen girl's story. It is not all warm and fuzzy - but a pre-teen girl might read it that way.
Am i making any sense?
